Two opportunities to win a ride in the world-famous Tiger 131 tank at our Tiger Day Autumn event on 20 September 2025.
Tiger 131 is a truly unique vehicle.
It was the first Tiger I to be captured by the western Allies in the Second World War and is the only surviving example that you can see in action.
Tiger 131 only runs twice a year at the Museum’s Spring and Autumn Tiger Day events, which attract thousands of visitors from all over the world.

There are two opportunities to win a ride in The Tank Museum’s most famous exhibit: one in an online auction and the other in a raffle. The two lucky winners will take their seats on 20 September at Tiger Day Autumn 2025, where 4,500 visitors are expected to gather.

Ellie Johnston, Communications and Content Co-ordinator said:
“It’s an incredible sight to see this historic tank driving around the arena. A ride in Tiger 131 – the world’s most famous tank – will be an unforgettable experience for the two lucky winners.”
Tiger 131 has another claim to fame, having starred in the 2013 film ‘Fury’ alongside Brad Pitt and the Museum’s Sherman M4A2 ‘Fury’.
Visitors to Tiger Day Autumn will be able to see the Sherman ‘Fury’ alongside other tanks in action, and a reconstruction of the capture of Tiger 131.

All profits from the Tiger raffle and auction will go towards supporting the Museum’s historic tank collection, ensuring that Tiger 131 can be kept in running order for years to come.
The auction is now live and closes at 3pm on Monday 18 August 2025. Raffle tickets are available to purchase until 12 noon on Wednesday 1 September 2025.
